Your ADHD Clinic in the Waterloo Region

About the Founder

I immigrated to Canada in 2022 with my wife and two children. We chose Canada because it represents freedom, safety, and the opportunity to enjoy life with your family. Most importantly, we were drawn to the country’s commitment to diversity and respect for multiculturalism.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to continue working in my field of specialization after moving here. However, like many newcomers, my family and I have faced numerous challenges while adjusting to a new country, language, and system. These personal experiences have deepened my understanding of how crucial it is to support immigrants’ mental health—especially during the transition period of settling in Canada.

Professionally, I have worked extensively with individuals with ADHD and other mental health concerns. I’ve seen firsthand how language and cultural barriers can prevent people from accessing the care they need. That’s why I founded this clinic: to create a space where immigrants can receive culturally sensitive ADHD evaluations and therapy in their own language—whether that’s Punjabi, Arabic, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Mandarin, or English.

Our mission is simple: to become the must-go ADHD clinic in the Waterloo region and help newcomers in Ontario overcome the barriers that stand between them and quality mental health care, so they can thrive in their new home.

Gonzalo Ruchichi, M.A., C.Psych.

Our Mission

At Bridges Clinic, we believe that mental health care should be accessible to everyone—regardless of language or cultural background. Canada is a diverse and multicultural country, where people from all over the world come to build a better future. But the journey of adjusting to a new life can be difficult—especially when language barriers prevent access to essential services like mental health care.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive ADHD assessment and treatment for all Ontarians—whether they are newcomers adjusting to life in Canada or long-time residents seeking support. We offer services in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, and Mandarin to ensure that clients can receive care in the language they feel most comfortable with.

ADHD is one of the most common mental health conditions globally, and when left untreated, it can significantly impact daily functioning, relationships, and well-being. At Bridges Clinic, we are committed to breaking down barriers—linguistic, cultural, and systemic—so that more people can access the support they need to thrive.
